I always order soup (because it’s really good!) but today I opted for brunch and had the best smashed avocado in a long time! Tastier - very fresh - and much cheaper than my usual Bearsden brunch spot!

Met up with a friend for a catch-up. The food was nice, we all tried something different. All plates were cleared, and 2 of us had desert, which also was nice. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was our first visit and plan to go back in the future.

Had lovely food at family dinner but we were so cold in upstairs dining area. Big open windows and lack of heating. Manager did try to address the issue, to no avail. Would dine here again but not in upstairs area in winter.

First visit for a long time and not disappointed. Varied menu and good service. Restaurant area with private areas plus pub seating, so caters for all. Recommended. 🙂

Extremely disgusted/disappointed with the management as we pointed out the half fillet of fish. All he wanted to do was argue that it was normal. The menu did not state half fillet of fish. Both of our fish and chips we’re extremely under sized. He stood over our table while others were eating and offered no alternative or apologies for our dislike in size. We had to ask him to take it away and to leave the table. No management skills what so ever. I feel the owner should investigate out of his/her interest.

Popped in for a couple of drinks as it's the largest place in Milngavie and with only allowing table service it was the only place we could get a table. Service very slow, waited approx 10 mins before waitress took our drink order. Atmosphere was okay, nice and cosy but when visited the toilets was disappointed - very untidy, obviously not checked regularly or even repaired as toilet roll holder and soap dispenser broken. Really needs more attention paid.

The dinner menu was varied enough to cater for pretty much every palette. I had the haggis stuffed chicken with mash potatoes & onions with pepper sauce. It was spectacularly delicious. It was so tastey that I had to put down my cutlery (crossed, of course) in order to allow my companion to catch up. Man, I am salivating from writing about it.
